The number thirteen has always held special significance in witchcraft and among those who practise it. There are thirteen lunar cycles in a year, and many traditional covens have consisted of thirteen members. Although most people consider thirteen to be an unlucky number, it is important to practitioners of witchcraft—a magical number that is valued far too little.
Therefore, on 13 April 2018, I, Unenkulkija, declare that from this day forward, every Friday the 13th shall be the Day of Witchcraft. It is a day on which practitioners of witchcraft—shamans, witches, or whatever they may call themselves—celebrate the practice of witchcraft itself.
Let every Friday the 13th be recognised as the official Day of Witchcraft.
